New ISEA Animation Shows High Volatility of House Prices Per Square Foot at Peak

A new animation from the Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis displays real price per square foot by square mile and quarter from the first quarter of 1988 to the second quarter of 2011. The animation allows insight in local price developments before and during the bubble years. Noteworthy is the high volatility of prices around the peak of the bubble. A more detailed analysis of the spatial distribution of house price developments will follow at a later date.
